EFSAS meets Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and executives of Think tanks in Brussels

Various meetings were held by EFSAS with MEPs and executives of Think tanks in Brussels in which the Director of EFSAS, Mr. Junaid Qureshi and Senior Research Analyst, Mr. Dušan Vejinović briefed the politicians and researchers regarding the situation in South-Asia and exchanged views on recent developments in the region. Opportunities for future collaboration on research and organizing specific youth-centric seminars and conferences were also discussed.

Among others, meetings were held with Mr. Richard Cobett, MEP for the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats and Member of the EU Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia, Mr. Elmar Brok, MEP for the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and member of the EU Committee on Foreign Affairs and of the EP Delegation for relations with India, Ms. Susannah Haven Hightower, Advisor on Foreign Affairs to Mr. Alojz Peterle, MEP for the Group of the European People's Party (Christian Democrats) and Member of the EU Committee on Foreign Affairs and of the EU Delegation for relations with India.

Besides meeting MEPs, EFSAS also met with the Executive Director of the South Asia Democratic Forum (SADF), Mr. Paulo Casaca and Mr. Jason Wiseman, Secretary General of the Atlantic Treaty Association.
